Jamshedpur, Oct 27: Kerala Public School Kadma celebrated its 23rd Annual Sports Meet on October 26, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, with Prosperity House (Green) emerging as the overall champions. The event was graced by Chief Guest Purnima Mahato, National Archer and Coach at Tata Archery Academy, along with several dignitaries, including the school’s Chairperson, Manorema Nair.
The meet kicked off with a ceremonial welcome, flag hoisting, and a grand march-past by the four houses—Peace, Prosperity, Wisdom, and Valour. The Chief Guest declared the meet open after the athletes took the sportsmanship oath.
With over 62 sports events, students demonstrated determination and athletic excellence. Notable performances included captivating yoga and taekwondo displays, as well as drill performances by different student groups. Parents, teachers, and staff also participated in fun races, adding warmth to the event.
The day’s highlight was the prize distribution, where Prosperity House took home the winner’s trophy, followed by Peace House (Blue) as runners-up. Individual awards went to Ayushi Kumari (Junior Girl), Aryan Hembrom (Junior Boy), Kavita Prasad (Senior Girl), and Ashmit Kumar Dehuri (Senior Boy) for their outstanding performances.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem, leaving the school community filled with pride and joy. The 23rd Annual Sports Meet successfully celebrated athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit.
