Jamshedpur, April 28: Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi met the General Manager of electricity department on Thursday to discuss power related issues of his constituency. He demanded better electricity supply in Jugsalai, Patamada and Bodam. He asked the GM to ensure installation of nine transformers in various parts of his constituency to improve power supply, sources said.
Kalindi held a meeting with the electricity officials at the GM office and directed them to take measures to improve the situation. He said the people of Patamada and Bodam should be given uninterrupted power supply. If needed, more transformers should be installed wherever needed on a priority basis, he told the officials.
The MLA said it was not only Jharkhand, but other states too, that were reeling under the power crisis. The state government is taking positive steps to resolve the power issue, he said, adding that power supply across the state was expected to improve in the next few days.
