Jamshedpur Police recover stolen vehicles, two arrested

Jamshedpur, April 5: Bistupur police apprehended two persons and recovered several stolen vehicles and mobile phones from their possession. The operation, led by Bistupur police station in-charge Umesh Kumar Thakur, resulted in the arrest of Krishna Rana alias Shekhar Rana and Sanjay Bagh.

Krishna Rana was apprehended near the Hanuman Temple in Mango, while Sanjay Bagh was arrested from his residence on Hume Pipe Road, Sitaramdera near MGM Hospital. The police seized a stolen Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle, an Edo scooter, four bicycles, and three mobile phones from the suspects.

During interrogation, the arrested confessed to attempting to sell the stolen motorcycle and bicycles when intercepted by the police. The police were pursuing leads to apprehend other members of the gang involved in these thefts.

An FIR has been filed by the police who were trying to locate the owners of the stolen vehicles. All recovered items were found in the possession of the suspects at their residences.

Mobile theft foiled, two arrested

Jamshedpur, April 5: Bistupur police apprehended two persons involved in a case of mobile theft in the busy Bistupur market. The suspects, identified as Dhiraj Sahu alias Shivam Kumar, a resident of Baldev Basti under Jugsalai police station area, and Rohit Ram alias Lala, were caught red-handed while attempting to steal mobile phones.

The arrest followed a complaint lodged on April 4 regarding mobile theft. Alert citizens intervened and apprehended the suspects before handing them over to the police. Two stolen mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

Both the suspects were in police custody as further inquiries into the theft continued.
