Jamshedpur Police nab shooter within hours, recover two pistols and weapons

Jamshedpur, July 26: In a major breakthrough, the Jamshedpur police successfully solved a recent shootout incident in the Mango locality within a few hours. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, saw a bullet fired at Mursrat Parveen’s residence near Mango Jawaharnagar Noori Masjid.

The police swiftly identified the culprits involved in the shooting, and Tony Singh, a 38-year-old resident of Mango’s Ulidih Lal Building, was arrested in connection with the case. Notably, four cases had already been registered against him at the Ulidih police station.

During the investigation, the police recovered two country-made pistols, three live cartridges, and five khokha from Tony Singh’s possession, in addition to other weapons used in the incident. Furthermore, the vehicle used by the criminals to flee the scene was also seized by the authorities.

SSP Prabhat Kumar personally oversaw the operation and ensured prompt action. The police team made significant efforts to apprehend the suspect and swiftly brought him into custody.

Following his arrest, Tony Singh was remanded to jail custody, pending further legal proceedings. The police’s speedy and efficient response in solving the case highlights their dedication to maintaining law and order in the region.
