Jamshedpur Police emphasises on foot patrolling to enhance city safety

Jamshedpur:In a concerted effort to fortify community safety and bolster proactive policing measures, the Jamshedpur Police have placed a strategic emphasis on the implementation of foot patrolling in key areas of the city. This initiative is designed to enhance visibility, foster community engagement, and strengthen the overall security fabric.

The move is aimed to curb drug abuse, haunting, eve-teasing, illegal parking on the road and other criminal activities and to establish better coordination between the police and the general public.

Under the dynamic leadership of SSP Kishore Kaushal, and with the collaborative efforts of various police station units, a series of focused foot patrolling sessions have been initiated. These sessions specifically targeted sensitive locations identified under Jugsalai and multiple police station areas across the city.

Enhanced Visibility: The primary objective of foot patrolling is to amplify the presence of law enforcement officers in areas where it matters the most. By actively patrolling on foot, officers can navigate through narrow lanes and densely populated zones, ensuring a heightened level of visibility and accessibility.

Community Interaction: Foot patrolling fosters direct interaction between police officers and the local community.
