Jamshedpur Police attach properties of double murder suspect Sheikh Arshad

Jamshedpur: In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the double murder case registered on December 8 at Mango Thana, the police on Wednesday executed the attachment of properties belonging to Sheikh Arshad, a key suspect in the case. The operation, conducted near Chepapul under Azadnagar Thana area in Mango, saw two truckloads of household articles, including furniture and electronic gadgets, being seized from Arshad’s residential flat at Sky Touch Apartment.

Arshad is wanted in connection with the heinous crime that claimed the lives of a 40-year-old land broker, Mohammed Sajjad, and a Mobile Tiger (cop-on-bike) Ramdev Mahto on December 8 at Jawaharnagar in Mango. The police are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice, and this property attachment is a significant step in the investigation.

The authorities are poised to extend their action to the properties of two more accused individuals, namely Mohammed Kadir and Mohammed Jamshed, who are also wanted in connection with the sensational twin murder case. The intensified efforts come in the wake of Mohammed Moinuddin surrendering in court on Tuesday, and the arrest of the main accused and conspirator, Mohammad Abdulla alias Chowda Raju, by railway police from Haldia station last week. Additionally, Sanjay Sarkar had been apprehended on the day of the twin murders.

Mango OC, Vinay Kumar, affirmed that despite the six named accused in the case, ongoing investigations reveal the potential involvement of additional criminals. He asserted the commitment to apprehend every individual implicated in the case, ensuring thorough justice for the victims.

The twin murder case unfolded on December 8 when Mohammed Sajjad was shot dead by bike-borne criminals in Jawaharnagar, Mango. In the pursuit of the assailants, Mobile Tiger Ramdev Mahto was tragically shot by one of the fleeing criminals. The administration, treating the murder of the policeman with utmost seriousness, continues its relentless efforts to apprehend every individual involved in the case, ensuring justice for the victims and their families.
