Jamshedpur, July 30: The Jamshedpur police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two wanted criminals from a house in Vardaan Colony under the Sidhgora police station area of the city and recovered several arms and ammunition.

The police stated that the arrested duo are associates of gangster Akhilesh Singh. The arrested individuals have been identified as Amarjeet Singh alias Shetty and Harprit Singh alias Ritik.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal said, “We have recovered six country-made pistols, one magazine, 13 rounds of live cartridges of 7.65 bore, and two cartridges of .315 bore from their possession.”

“We had received inputs that the duo were living in a rented house in Vardaan Colony,” said Kishore Kaushal.
The SSP added that the duo were wanted for several cases of loot, dacoity, extortion, and firearms supply.
According to the officer, Amarjeet Singh is a history-sheeter and was in jail for a prolonged period before resuming criminal activities after being released from prison recently.
Both were sent to Ghaghidih Central Jail after their production before a judicial magistrate.
SSP inspects Telco Police Station
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal inspected Telco police station on Tuesday. During the inspection, police station records were reviewed, and necessary instructions were given to the police officers present. The SSP emphasized the need for prompt disposal of pending cases, warrants, and attachments, along with intensive patrolling in the area to control crime.
