Jamshedpur police arrest three for theft

Jamshedpur, May 23: In a significant breakthrough, the Birsanagar police have apprehended three individuals involved in a case of theft resulting from a house break-in near Zone No. 2B Palsania building. The arrested culprits have been identified as Vikas Das, a resident of Srishti Garden, Akash Dutta, also known as Chepa, from Bagunhatu, and Mo Javed.

Following the arrest, the police successfully recovered the stolen items, which included an empty gas cylinder, two thousand rupees in cash, and stolen jewelry. The incident occurred on May 19, when the accused broke into a house in Zone No. 2B and made off with the aforementioned items. Promptly after receiving a complaint regarding the theft, the police initiated an investigation and managed to apprehend Vikas and Akash.

During further investigations, the police discovered the stolen gas cylinder hidden in the bushes near Srishti Garden, while cash was recovered from Javed. Additionally, Akash provided crucial information leading to the recovery of the stolen jewelry. As a result of their apprehension and the successful recovery of the stolen items, the police presented all three individuals before the court on Tuesday, and they were subsequently sent to jail. Station in-charge Prabhat Kumar stated that the arrest and subsequent recovery of the stolen items demonstrated the effective and diligent efforts of the police in combating criminal activities within the jurisdiction.
