Jamshedpur Police arrest man for ganja sale

Jamshedpur, June 23: In a significant breakthrough, the police have successfully arrested the absconding accused, Manoj Kumar Das, in connection with the illegal sale of ganja in the Mango Ulidih police station area. The arrest comes following an FIR filed against Manoj on December 11, 2022, at the Ulidih police station. While other suspects involved in the case were already sent to jail earlier, Manoj had managed to evade capture. However, acting on a tip-off, the police recently conducted a raid at Manoj’s residence on Kunwar Singh Road, leading to his apprehension.

The arrest of Manoj Kumar Das marks a crucial development in the ongoing investigation into the illicit ganja trade. The police had been actively searching for him since the filing of the FIR, and the breakthrough came when they received reliable information about his whereabouts. Acting swiftly, a team of officers raided Manoj’s residence, resulting in his arrest without any untoward incident. Following his arrest, Manoj was produced before the court, which subsequently remanded him to judicial custody. On Friday, the police duly completed the necessary formalities and sent him to jail.
