Jamshedpur Police arrest bike lifters who move in cars

Jamshedpur: Mango police arrested two members of a gang of vehicle lifters who prowled around localities in a car to mark spots for lifting vehicles. They arrested Wasimuddin and Sanjay Mukherjee alias Sanju who are residents of Mango Chepapul locality. DSP (HQ) Pawan Kumar briefed the media on Thursday. A car and a bike have been recovered following information provided by the two suspects.

The modus oprendi of these criminals was to park their car in some residential complex, steal parked two-wheelers and escape. But luck ran out for them during their operation at Rajmahal Apartment complex in Mango on November 22 where they were captured on CCTV while stealing a bike. Police scrutinized the footage and located and arrested Wasimuddin Khan and Sanjay Mukherjee alias Sanju. Both have been sent to jail. The Mango police headed by OC Vinay Kumar played an important role in the investigation.
