Jamshedpur: Party workers are my real strength, says Banna Gupta

Jamshedpur, March 27: State health minister Banna Gupta Sunday said the Congress party workers were his real strength. He motivated them by asking them to keep their morale high in every situation and urged them to work hard and sincerely towards the organizational goals.

Gupta was addressing party workers during a grand felicitation cum convocation organized at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, ex-minister Bandhu Tirkey and state Congress president Rajesh Thakur were also present on the occasion.

Gupta further said that the Congress was gaining strong foothold in the state. He assured auto-rickshaw drivers that they will not be ousted from the city. He said he would speak to the Transport Commissioner to find a way out of the CNG issue. He said he was jailed four to five times while fighting for the cause of auto-rickshaw owners.

The Congress state president motivated party workers by saying that they were the party’s source of power. He said the party was going to launch a massive agitation across the state on the issue of inflation. He said the party workers’ dignity would be safeguarded at every cost. He said party workers would be given place in 20-Point Committees and various corporations and boards in the state.

As many as 24 Congress workers were jointly given first, second and third prizes for securing lead to the party at their respective polling booths across eight police station areas of the district.
