Jamshedpur Pandal hoppers to vote online for best Durga puja 

Jamshedpur, October 17: Durga Puja has started in Jamshedpur. Many pandals have been opened for the general public.

Like every year, this year too the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee has announced to award the best puja pandal.

 However, this year some changes have also been made. The committee has taken the help of technology for voting. To vote for the puja pandal, devotees will have to take the help of the app. The committee gave this information during a press conference on Tuesday.

Committee chairperson Achintam Gupta said that like every year, this year too the committee will reward the best puja pandal. In this, first prize is Rs 51,000, second prize is Rs 31,000 and third prize is Rs 21,000. Apart from this, a trophy will also be given to everyone.

This apart, different awards like best idol of Durga Mata, best lighting and best security and clean puja committees will also be awarded.

For this, first prize will be given with Rs 11,000, second prize Rs 5,000 and third prize of Rs 3,000.

He said that a jury committee has been formed for this, in which 18 people have been included. This jury committee will also visit puja pandals.

A QR code will be placed at the entry and exit points of the puja pandals, along with which the code of the puja pandal will also be written the devotees will have to scan. After scanning, an app will have to be downloaded. Devotees can cast their vote by entering the code of the puja pandal in this app.

Achintam said that there are a total of 324 puja pandals in the district, which will be a part of this competition. Apart from this, the Central Durga Puja Committee has instructed all the puja committees to provide ration to five nearby families, so that those families also get a chance to celebrate the puja.
