Govt schools linked with virtual classes from Dec 14
Jamshedpur, December 17: Acting on instruction of East Singhbhum deputy commissioner, online classes have begun for tenthers in state-owned schools for better results in forthcoming board exams next year.
A release issued by district public relation department office claimed that all the high school children of the district are joining the online classes conducted at the district level.
“Online classes began from December 14 and so far 13854 children of class 10th have been linked to this campaign by creating a bridge of expert teachers of all subjects. Two classes of one hour each are being conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Chemistry classes are being held on Monday, Biology on Tuesday, Mathematics on Wednesday, English on Thursday, Physics on Friday and Social Science on Saturday,” the release said.

“The objective is to bridge the gap in the level of education between CBSE or other English medium children and children studying in government schools, to provide exposure to the new technology being developed in the country and the world, and improve the level of education through technology. Quality education should be made available,” said East Singhbhum DC Vijaya Jadhav.
The DC said that students should not feel neglected in any field anywhere, they should be interested in subjects, chapters should be taught in new and effective ways so that they do not just get knowledge of alphabets but also develop an understanding on various subjects.
“Advantages of using the online platform is that whether the child is sitting in a school in an urban area or in a remote rural area, equal education is being provided to all. Due to this, the parents of the rural areas will also not worry that there is any special facility for the children who live or study in the city,” said Vijaya Jadhav.
Special emphasis is also being laid on the review of the level of subject knowledge of the teachers, attendance of the children, cleanliness of the campus, regular parent teacher meeting. There is a transparent effort to ensure that practical, moral knowledge prevails in the children and parents should also be aware of the education of their children. Monthly assessment tests are also being conducted for board exams so that children can prepare themselves mentally, how to write correct answers to all the questions within the stipulated time, and appear in the exams with determination is an initiative in this direction.
