Jamshedpur: A speeding trailer truck knocked down a girl to death and injured a boy near Road Number 4 in Agrico under Sidhgora police station area on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Amisha Bharati.
She had sustained critical injuries in the incident. Another victim of the incident, Pradyoman Singh, got severely injured in the incident. He was admitted to MGMCH.
Sources said the mishap occurred in the morning when Amisha and Pradyoman were on their way to Sakchi for tuitions. Just then, a speeding truck knocked them down. Amisha was declared brought dead at the MGMCH.
Police have seized the truck and lodged an FIR against its driver.
