Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) organized a special program to honor Swachhta Viranganas (sanitation workers) on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The event began with a cake-cutting ceremony and was followed by several engaging activities for the sanitation workers, including a Rangoli competition, musical chairs and ladder games.
In the Rangoli competition, the Swachhta Viranganas created attractive designs on themes related to cleanliness and spreading awareness about sanitation. The games also carried messages promoting cleanliness and community participation.
Sanitation workers who performed exceptionally well in maintaining cleanliness in the city were honored with certificates for their dedication and service.
Social activist Pappu Sardar, the city’s Swachhta Brand Ambassador, was also present on the occasion. He urged citizens to keep their homes, markets and surroundings clean and to adopt waste segregation at the source.
The program aimed to recognize and encourage the dedication, hard work and invaluable contribution of sanitation workers in keeping the city clean and healthy.
Brahma Kumaris celebrate Women’s Day
Jamshedpur: International Women’s Day was celebrated at the Universal Peace Palace of the Brahma Kumaris located along Marine Drive in Sonari. The program began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp in accordance with Indian culture and traditions.
The chief guests at the event included Regional Chief Conservator of Forests (RCCF) Smita Pankaj and Kolhan Chief Brahma Kumari Anju Didi.
Addressing the gathering, Anju Didi, Director of the Universal Peace Palace, highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment. She said that the progress and success of society largely depended on the sacrifice, patience and dedication of women. According to her, women symbolized strength as they possessed patience, the power to uplift others and the ability to move forward while managing every situation. She emphasized that from managing a small household to contributing to the development of the entire world, women played a highly significant and inspiring role.
She further stated that where women were respected, prosperity and happiness naturally flourished. A woman, she added, was not only the foundation of a family but also a true protector of society and culture.
Sharing her experiences, Smita Pankaj spoke about the challenges women sometimes faced while working in male-dominated environments. She emphasized the importance of spiritual guidance in such situations and noted that institutions like the Brahma Kumaris provided individuals with inner strength and the right direction.
She also shared a valuable life lesson from her experience, saying that once a person overcame ego, it would be easier to deal with life’s challenges, whether in relationships or difficult circumstances.
More than 100 women participated in the program, and on the occasion, they were invited to the stage and honored for their presence and contribution. At the end of the event, prasad was distributed to the participants.
The program concluded with the inspiring message that a woman was not only the power that gave life but also the guiding consciousness that directed life towards the right path. When women were empowered, families, society and the nation automatically became stronger.
Lawyers celebrate International Women’s Day
Jamshedpur: A group of lawyers organized a program to celebrate International Women’s Day at Dhalbhum Club in Jamshedpur.

The event was conducted by Paramjeet Srivastava, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Amit Kumar. Several advocates were present during the celebration, including Naveen Prakash, Vinod Kumar Mishra, Neeraj, Vidyut Nandi, Sanjay Kumar, Keshav Singh, Deepak and Vinod Singh.
The program highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and the role of women in society, while also marking the significance of International Women’s Day.
IHRACO hosts Women’s Honor Ceremony
Jamshedpur: International Human Rights Anti-Crime Organization (IHRACO) organized a Women’s Honor Ceremony at Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) auditorium in Bistupur to mark International Women’s Day.
The program was presided by Jharkhand State President Archana Singh, while the proceedings were jointly conducted by Advocate Vinita Mishra and Panchayat Samiti member Sunil Gupta. The event began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries.

Guests were honored with mementos, certificates, saplings, shawls and Angavastram by members of the organization. On the occasion, National President Ramesh Sah, Adityapur Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Parul Singh, MS competition winner Shreya Adhar, Sadar Hospital ENT specialist Dr. Preeti Pandey, dentist Jasveer Kaur, along with advocates and women journalists from print and electronic media, spoke about the importance and relevance of International Women’s Day.
Members of the organization including Fatima Shaheen, Geeta Singh and Manjeet Kaur were honored for their outstanding contributions to social service. Lakshmi, Panchayat Samiti member Sunil Gupta, Ravi, Pushpraj and members of the social organization, Samarpan, were also felicitated with certificates and saplings.
In her presidential address, Archana Singh highlighted the various social initiatives undertaken by the organization, while National President Ramesh Sah emphasized the need to further strengthen the organization. The guests also extended their greetings on International Women’s Day and urged women to remain aware of their rights.
Members including Poonam Devi, Babli, Ritu Kaur, Mamta Bhumij and Mahavir Sahu played an important role in making the program successful.
