Jamshedpur newspaper hawker’s son Suman Kar awarded Rs 1.60 lakh scholarship by Taiwan Govt

Jamshedpur, June 1: Narayan Kar, a diligent newspaper hawker who tirelessly delivers newspapers door-to-door, has seen his hard work bear fruit through the achievements of his son, Suman Kar. Residents of Indranagar in Bhalubasa, the father-son duo has become an inspiring example of how one’s dedication and personal efforts can lead to success.

Suman Kar, a brilliant scholar, has been awarded a scholarship of 1.60 lakh NTD (Taiwanese currency) by the Ministry of Education Taiwan for his master’s degree studies. Additionally, he will receive a monthly stipend of 20 thousand NTD. Suman expressed his plans to complete a three-month internship before pursuing his master’s degree. The scholarship includes provisions for free education and accommodation, offering Suman the opportunity to focus solely on his studies.

Having already earned a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from CV Raman Global University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Suman’s exceptional academic journey has been recognized by receiving the prestigious Student of the Year award from his university. His early education was completed at the Kerala Samajam Model School in Jamshedpur. Suman shared his ambition to work in the field of chip designing if he secures a campus placement in Taiwan upon completing his master’s degree. This particular field holds great interest for him. Suman’s mother, Putul Kar, is a homemaker, and he credits his father’s unwavering dedication and his own passion for education as the driving forces behind his success. He also expresses gratitude to his parents and teachers for their unwavering support and guidance throughout his educational journey.
