Jamshedpur, Sept 7: Kolhan’s biggest government hospital is again in news for medical negligence.
A woman died a few hours after delivery on Wednesday late evening, after which on Thursday the relatives accused the doctors and nurses of the hospital of negligence.
A 20-year-old Nikita, a resident of Haludbani, Parsudih, was admitted to MGM Hospital on Wednesday after labor pain, where she gave birth to a son late in the evening.
Shortly after delivery, she was shifted to the ward where he died shortly after. The relatives have alleged that Nikita was not allowed to drink water after delivery and was given two injections and saline. After delivery, no doctor or nurse took care of her due to which she died.
Hospital management alleged that Nikita died due to water filling in the chest. She also had anemia, the information of which was given to the relatives.
