Jamshedpur, Nov 29: A local court has issued a non-bailable warrant against one Dr Sushil Kumar Sharma of Smriti Seva Sadan, Mango, in connection with the death of a patient, Supriya Singh, following a surgery conducted by him.
A case was registered against Dr Sharma by Kunal Singh, husband of the deceased under Section 304 of IPC with the MGM police station on 1st October 2021. The woman reportedly suffered from stone in gall bladder and was advised to undergo surgery. Dr Sharma allegedly performed a surgery on the patient without being qualified to do so. He did not have the required medical qualification to perform the surgery, said a three member probe team formed by the then Civil Surgeon. Supriya Singh was operated on 23rd September and died on 26th September.
