Jamshedpur, September 4: A youth was murdered on Friday near the Tube Company Gate under Burmines police station area of East Singhbhum district.
The criminals in order to hide evidence of the murder had kept the body under the bridge of the Tube gate. The deceased could not be identified even after 24 hours. He has wounds on his head. A bottle of liquor was also found from the spot. It is being feared that earlier the youths must have intoxicated the youth before murdering him after a dispute.
The murder case may also be related to iron theft. There is a siding of Tata Steel where the body of the youth was found. A Tata Steel train passes under the bridge. Often iron thieves congregate there. On the information of the incident, Burmamines station in-charge Raju reached the spot for investigation.
The body was sent for post-mortem later in the afternoon. Police are trying to identify the dead body. An FIR for murder against unknown has been registered.
