ESDCA: Vibhuti Adesara made vice president
Jamshedpur, March 6: The East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA) convened a meeting today at the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex, marking a significant step towards promotion of chess in the region.
During the session, Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports Excellence Centres and Sports was unanimously elected as the President of East Singhbhum District Chess Association, while Vibhuti D Adesara, Head Sports (Training Centres and Events) Tata Steel assumed the role of Vice President.
One of the key announcements made during the meeting was the organization of the District Chess Championship scheduled for the month of May. Additionally, it was decided that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) would be held at the end of May to discuss and plan future initiatives.
The association revealed plans for the annual prize night set to take place on April 23, providing a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of chess enthusiasts in the district.
Also present at the meet were ESDCA general secretary N.K. Tiwari, Jayant Kumar Bhuiyan, Awadhesh Kr, Purabi Ghosh, Chandan Kumar Prasad, Shashank Shekhar, Anup Kr Singh, Manoj Pandey, Surendra Jha, and K.P. Sharma.
