Jamshedpur MP meets SER AGM after Shalimar–Ghatsila Rail Inspection

Jamshedpur, April 11: Soumitra Majumdar, Additional General Manager of South Eastern Railway, carried out a detailed window trailing inspection from Shalimar to Ghatsila to assess railway infrastructure, safety measures, operational efficiency, and passenger amenities along the route.

The inspection was conducted in the presence of senior railway officials, including Principal Chief Commercial Manager Navin Chandra Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Kharagpur) Debjit Das, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Nishant Kumar, and Senior Divisional Operations Manager Prabhat Prasad. During the exercise, officials closely reviewed train operations, station facilities, and ongoing development works, with a focus on improving service quality and ensuring higher safety standards.

Following the inspection, a coordination meeting was held at Ghatsila with Jamshedpur Member of Parliament Bidyut Baran Mahato. The meeting was attended by officials from both the Kharagpur and Chakradharpur divisions. Representatives from Chakradharpur Division included Divisional Railway Manager Tarun Huria, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Aditya Kumar Chaudhary, and Senior Divisional Operations Manager Manish Pathak.

During the meeting, discussions were held on ongoing railway development projects, enhancement of passenger amenities, and resolution of rail-related issues in the Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency. The MP raised key concerns and offered suggestions regarding local rail services, which were acknowledged by the railway authorities for necessary action.

South Eastern Railway officials reiterated their commitment to strengthening railway infrastructure, improving passenger facilities, and maintaining close coordination with public representatives to effectively address the needs of passengers across the region.
