Jamshedpur, August 23: Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) Executive Officer Deepak Sahay led a campaign aimed at removal of encroachment. The campaign commenced from Mango Chowk to Dimna Chowk on Monday.
While removing encroachments in Mango Chowk, Dimna Road, New Purulia Road and other areas, strict warning was given to the encroachers and fines were collected from the shopkeepers of many encroaching establishments.
Goods kept along the main road of many street vendors, shops and establishments were confiscated. Many shopkeepers were warned and goods kept outside their shop areas were ordered to be taken inside their business premises.
The Executive Officer stated that action would be taken against the encroaching shopkeepers by marking them as offenders. City Manager Nishant Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Jitendra Kumar and Office Assistant Chandi Charan Goswami, office employees of MMC and others assisted in the encroachment removal campaign.
