Jamshedpur, June 3: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy visited the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) and held discussions with Special Officer Krishna Kumar on the status of work in progress in Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency.
During the discussions with the JNAC Special Officer, MLA Saryu Roy directed that the garbage collected during cleaning of big and small drains should not be left by the sides of the drains but removed immediately. Roy had earlier directed Krishna Kumar to ensure dedicated teams for cleaning drains and disposing of the garbage collected instead of leaving them on the sides of the drains cleaned.
During his discussions with the JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar, he took update on the work being performed under the Urban Poverty Alleviation Scheme (UPA) scheme. Saryu Roy directed Kumar to identify beneficiaries under the scheme in a planned manner especially taking into consideration financial conditions of the urban poor during the lockdown period imposed to prevent rampant COVID-19 infections. People are still grappling with the impact. The East Jamshedpur Assembly constituency MLA stressed, “People economically affected by the lockdown phases, especially women, should be helped under the UPA Scheme by the central and state governments so that they can be benefited by organizing training programs along with government grants.”
Saryu Roy further stated that beneficiaries who recipients of UPA Scheme benefits earlier should be helped in fulfilling the purposes for which they had received such grants. He asked the JNAC CO Krishna Kumar to ensure the completion of the work on schedule under the grant sanctioned by the 15th Finance Commission.
The Legislator directed the JNAC CO to monitor work being done and executed by the different departments. He gave clear-cut directives to JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar to execute all undertaken jobs under JNAC and Tata Steel UISL areas.
The East Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy also visited Baridih Bhojpur Colony locality and got to know the problems of the residents. He was accompanied by his PA Sudhir Singh, Baridih BJM Circle President Vijay Narayan, Amit Sharma, Amit Pathak, Rishi Pandey and others.
