Jamshedpur, April 18: Independent MLA Saryu Roy has strongly criticized the removal of Dr. Rajkumar from the post of Director at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), calling the decision ‘unfortunate.’
In a tweet, Roy alleged that the action was taken because Dr. Rajkumar had refused to comply with a government directive involving wrongful payments worth crores of rupees during a RIMS Governing Body meeting held two days ago. Rai stated that the Director was penalized for speaking the truth and resisting improper financial pressure.
He further added that the state government was displeased with the reforms and improvements being implemented at RIMS under Dr. Rajkumar’s leadership, which ultimately led to his removal.
