Jamshedpur, July 27: The body of Jugsalai Baldev Basti resident Sultan was recovered from second floor of the semi-constructed mall of Tata Steel UISL near Voltas House under Bistupur police station on Wednesday.
Soon Bistupur police reached the spot and has started investigation.
After getting information, family members along with residents of the basti arrived outside the mall.
To avoid any untoward incident police pressed in two tear gas shelling vehicle Vajra vehicles. ASP City Sudhanshu Jain, Bagbera police station in-charge KK Jha, police jawans from Parsudih, Jugsalai and Bistupur were also present.
As police was trying to conduct panchnama of the body and sent it for postmortem kin of the deceased started protesting at the entry of the mall. Later, police took out the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Family member of Sultan accused the mall guard of murder saying, a guard named Kamal used to call him to carryout theft in the semi-constructed mall.
They informed that on Friday also the guard called Sultan for the same and he has killed Sultan. Family members further said that on Saturday they had reached the mall searching for Sultan and found his clothes and slippers from the spot and guard did not allow them to search for Sultan in the premises.
