Jamshedpur, March 7 : The court of first additional district judge, Ashok Kumar has asked police to obtain consent of the three accused in the Sahara City minor rape case for subjecting them to brain mapping and narco analysis test. The three accused, Indrapal Saini, Shiv Kumar Mahto and Srikantare presently lodged in Ghaghidih Central Jail.
Senior superintendent of police, AnoopBirthray said that they had on February 27 prayed the first additional district judge to allow for the brain mapping and narco analysis test at a forensic science lab (FSL).
“The court has instructed us to obtain the consent from the three accused. We will now approach the trio for their consent on the test. Only after submitting the consent that the court may give us the nod for going ahead with the tests,” said Birthray.
The senior SP said after getting the court’s permission they would apply for the brain mapping and narco analysis test of the three accused in an FSL located at Gandhinagar in Gujarat.
The rape case became sensational as the victim had later revealed about two cops also to have raped her beside several others. The cops, former OC of MGM thanaImdad Ansari and deputy superintendent of police (Patamda) Ajay Kerketta.
The 17-year-old girl who worked as a maid in the house of a businessman at Sahara City was raped by three persons. As the matter came to the notice of the house owner, Nanak Chandra Seth, he made the victim’s mother, who is a resident of Kawali in Potka block to lodged an FIR against three with the Mango police station on January 19.
The police had registered a case of rape and POCSO Act against three persons with the Mango thana for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl who works as a maid at the house of Nanak Chandra Seth, a businessman at Sahara City in Mango during the past two years. The accused Indrapal Singh Saini, Shiv Kumar Mahto and Srikant alias Santosh used to rape the minor by blackmailing her on the basis of a clipping of an obscene act with her.
