Jamshedpur, Sept 20: Kunal Singh, the owner of Mini Punjab Hotel on NH 33, was beaten up by six youth and Rs 9,000 cash and a gold chain were snatched from him. The youth were accused of assault for not being allowed to drink liquor in the hotel. Kunal Singh has made a written complaint against Sonu, Aman Roshan, Shubham Samrat Singh and three others in MGM police station for assault and snatching. The injured was treated at MGM Hospital. Kunal Singh told informed that he was a resident of Astha Space town on Dimna Road and that he ran Mini Punjab Hotel near Baliguma on NH 33.
According to his statement on the day of the incident, he was going to Dimna Hill View Colony Reliance Mart to collect hotel grocery. He was at that time accosted by six youth who attacked him with hockey sticks and baseball bats near Hill Point Hotel. They snatched Rs 9,000 from his pocket that he had kept for purchasing hotel groceries and a gold chain from his neck. The hotel owner recognized three of the youth who had come to his hotel a few days earlier. They were not allowed to drink alcohol in the hotel and it was suspected that the attack was a sequel to that incident.
