Jamshedpur: Middle aged man jailed for molesting girl in train

Jamshedpur: A 55 year old man, Rajesh Kumar Jagatramka was sent to Chaibasa jail for inappropriately groping a 22 year old sleeping girl in a running train.

The incident occurred on March 10 at 4:45 am in train number 12906 Up Howrah-Porbunder-Okha Express. The girl on berth number 44 was travelling to Baroda while the accused Jagatramka had a ticket up to Raigarh. According to reports the accused on berth number 25 alighted near the sleeping girl�s berth and allegedly groped her. She woke up and started shouting. Jagatramka started to run and in the process fell down. Co-passengers caught him. The girl complained to the RPSF escort party and lodged an FIR with the team. The RPSF escort team handed over the accused passenger to the Jharsuguda GRP. The incident having occurred when the train was in the vicinity of Chakradharpur, the Jharsuguda GRP forwarded the case to their CKP counterparts. The latter made out a case against the accused and sent him to Chaibasa jail.

Accused Rajesh Kumar Jagatramka stated that he was a patient of high blood pressure and the medicine taken led to frequent urination. It was for this purpose that he had alighted from his berth and since the train�s speed caused the coach to rock, he got disbalanced and accidentally his hand touched the sleeping girl in the process. It was absolutely unintentional he claimed. He said that he had been falsely implicated.
