Jamshedpur Media Cup Cricket: Nisar’s blazing knock leads Domuhani XI to victory

Subarnarekha XI registers comfortable win

Jamshedpur, Feb 19: On the third day of the Media Cup Cricket tournament organised by Press Club of Jamshedpur on Wednesday, Domuhani XI and Subarnarekha XI secured commanding victories in their respective matches at Keenan Stadium, keeping their qualification hopes alive.

In the first match, Domuhani XI dominated Dalma XI with a nine-wicket win. Batting first, Dalma XI posted 110 runs for six wickets in 15 overs, with Buland Iqbal scoring a crucial 51 runs. Deep Paul and Vivek impressed with the ball, picking up two wickets each. Chasing the target, Domuhani XI reached 111 for loss of one wicket in just 10.3 overs, thanks to a stormy 52-run knock by Nisar Ahmed. Mohan also contributed significantly with 34 runs. Nisar was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

In the second match, Subarnarekha XI outplayed Jubilee XI, also winning by nine wickets. Jubilee XI set a target of 107 runs, scoring 106 for the loss of six wickets in 15 overs. Rajesh (25) and Neeraj (23) were the top scorers. Lalit led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Randhir was economical, conceding only seven runs in three overs and taking one wicket. Chasing the target, Subarnarekha XI comfortably reached 111 for one wicket in just nine overs, with Captain Jaiprakash Rai scoring 41 and Randhir adding 39. Randhir was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
