Jamshedpur, Feb 24: Kharkai XI and Hudco XI registered convincing victories in the final league matches of the Media Cup 2025 organised by Press Club of Jamshedpur at Keenan Stadium on Monday.
In the morning match, Kharkai XI defeated Domuhani XI by 62 runs. Batting first, Kharkai XI posted a competitive total of 146 runs for seven wickets. Amit led the scoring with 39 runs, while Debashish contributed 30. For Domuhani XI, Abhijeet took two wickets.
Chasing the target, Domuhani XI struggled to build momentum and managed only 84 runs for eight wickets in their allotted 15 overs. Abhijeet was the top scorer with 17 runs, followed by Umesh with 11. Babu Wasim and Amit bowled effectively, picking up two wickets each to seal the win for Kharkai XI.
In the second match, Hudco XI comfortably defeated Jubilee XI by eight wickets. Jubilee XI batted first and posted 121 runs for three wickets, with Wakil scoring 38 and Rajat adding 30.
Hudco XI chased down the target with ease, reaching 124 for two wickets in just 11.1 overs. Shubhdarshi played a match-winning knock of 79 runs, supported by Rohit with nine runs, ensuring an emphatic victory for their team.
