Jamshedpur markets buzz on Dhanteras eve�

Jamshedpur, Nov. 8: City roads came alive on the eve of Dhanteras on Sunday as makeshift utensil stalls flooded the thoroughfares.

With festive offers of lower rates of interest on EMIs, better financing schemes, extended warranty and free maintenance on electrical appliances and vehicles, the city markets, including Sakchi Bazar, Jugsalai Bazar and Bistupur Market, witnessed huge crowds on Sunday.

Scores of big and small shops selling kitchenware cropped up in different localities, besides kiosks selling idols of Lakshmi and Ganesh, Puja materials, earthen lamps and home decoration items.

Markets were abuzz with activities and a utensil stall near Sakchi Dalda line saw generous footfall even on the eve of Dhanteras.
