Jamshedpur: Many whispers of ‘Serenity’ mark NHES fest

Jamshedpur, Sept 23: Every year, the International Day of Peace is observed worldwide on the 21st of September. In the spirit of this global event, this year’s theme is “Action for Peace: Our Ambition for the Global Goals,” which serves as a call to action, acknowledging both individual and collective responsibility to promote peace.

At NHES (Narbheram Hansraj English School), the student cabinet has taken upon themselves the noble responsibility of spreading awareness about peace and non-violence. They organized an intra-school fest titled “Serenity – Samanam,” which featured a diverse range of events centered around the theme of peace. These events included “Whispers of Peace” (Declamation), “Argue Fusion” (Debate), “Rhythmz” (Band performance), “The Biology Musketeers” (Quiz), “Ironic Bonds” (Quiz), “Puzzle – O – Mania” (Puzzle Solving), “Codes Paradox” (Coding), “Artistic Utopia” (Best out of waste), “Harmony in Design” (Mandala Art), “Beyond Forces Exhibition” (Model Making), “Brand Blitz” (Advertisement), “Chrysus Trivia” (Start-up concepts), and “Silence of Harpocrates” (Treasure Hunt).

The visionary behind this event is the school’s Principal, Paramita Roy Chaudhury. The event’s concept and design were crafted by the students of Class 12. The executive committee, comprising the Student Cabinet, Class 12 volunteers, Tandrima Banerjee (Acting Vice Principal), and Subhash Banerjee (Administrative Coordinator), played a pivotal role in executing the program. Devang Gandhi, Joint Secretary of the School Managing Committee inaugurated the event.

The festivities culminated with a prize distribution ceremony, where Devang Gandhi, presented the awards. Chandrakant Zatakia, Treasurer of the School Managing Committee, and Shashikant Zatakia, a member of the School Managing Committee, also graced the occasion and participated in the award presentation.

All the distinguished guests praised the remarkable efforts and unwavering dedication displayed by the student participants, student volunteers, teachers, and staff in making this event a grand success.
