Jamshedpur, May 20: In view of the onset of monsoon and recent bouts of intermittent rains, Mango Municipal Corporation’s Executive Officer, Dipak Sahay directed all contractors attached to the MMC to comlete drain cleaning activities at the earliest. Based on the directives, drain cleaning jobs have commenced on war footing. On Friday, drains were cleaned in several localities under MMC’s command areas including at Jawahar Nagar Road Nos 13 and 14, Deshbandhu Lane, Ulidih Road No 6, Hill View Colony, Kalyan Vihar, Pardih, Sankosai, Krishna Nagar, Moon City, Azad Basti and Post Office Road. Clogged drains in several localities were also cleaned.
