Jamshedpur, Mar 14: In a dramatic turn of events, Manoj Kumar Aggarwal, a resident of Gadhabasa in the Golmuri police station area of Jamshedpur, has escalated his protest against what he perceives as a lack of justice. Aggarwal, accompanied by fellow residents, made his way to the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Thursday, demanding resolution to his grievances.
Aggarwal alleges that he and his wife were violently assaulted by individuals identified as Bholaram and his sons Umakant Jaiswal and Hukumchand. Despite filing a complaint with the Golmuri police station, no action was taken, leaving Aggarwal disillusioned and frustrated.
In a bold ultimatum, Aggarwal declared that if justice is not served, even by the Deputy Commissioner, he will resort to drastic measures, threatening to commit suicide in front of the office on Friday at noon.
The matter has caused a stir in administrative circles, prompting a reevaluation of the case. Officials have noted that the dispute revolves around allegations of encroachment and map deviation in the Kashidih Enclave of Golmuri.
Aggarwal had previously lodged complaints with the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), but alleges that former SDO Piyush Kumar Singh pressured him into an agreement, which Aggarwal resisted.
Expressing desperation, Aggarwal laments the apparent lack of justice for both the rich and the poor, highlighting systemic issues within the justice system. The situation underscores the need for a fair and transparent resolution to Aggarwal’s grievances and broader efforts to ensure equitable access to justice for all citizens.
