Jamshedpur man gets 4 year jail for molesting minor

Jamshedpur, March 24: The special POCSO court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (V) Sanjay Kumar Upadhyaya sentenced one Jagannath Prasad Sharma to four years of imprisonment for molesting a minor. It also imposed a fine of Rs 1000 on the convict.

According to the prosecution, the minor was sleeping outside her house in Sonari around 8 pm when the accused reportedly tried to molest her. The accused ran away when the girl woke up and raised an alarm for help. After four days, the victim’s family members caught Jagannath trying to enter their house once again. They handed him over to Sonari police and registered a case against him.
