Jamshedpur, June 21: Bagbera police arrested one Ranjay Kumar Yadav, a resident of Kitadih Gwala Patti, for allegedly raping a girl in River View Colony, Bagbera, on Monday.
Sources said the victim had gone to bring some provisions from the general store run by the accused in the afternoon. The accused allegedly raped her in the shop. When the girl did not return home even after two hours, her family members went out to search for her. After some time, the girl returned home and narrated the incident to her family members who informed police and lodged a complaint against the accused. Acting promptly, police arrested the accused and sent him to judicial custody.
