Jamshedpur man arrested for duping jobless youths

Jamshedpur, Jan 6: Sakchi police arrested one Vinay Kumar Tiwary alias Vinay Pandey, resident of Golmuri Gurudwara Basti, for allegedly duping several people in the name of giving them jobs.

Police said the accused had taken Rs 12.35 lakh from several unemployed youths. The accused had promised Railway jobs to the victims of fraud committed by him, cops said.

An FIR was lodged against Tiwary by Tarsem Singh Gill of Gurudwara Basti. Police officials said they were interrogating the accused to get details of crimes committed by him so far.

The accused misrepresented himself as a police officer so as to target his victims, cops said.
