Jamshedpur: A delegation of Jamshedpur Local Trailer Owners� Union (JLTOU) led by patron Dr Pawan Pandey met the ADM and pointed out the grievances being faced by the organization since the past five months.
Dr Pandey said that a meeting chaired by the Kolhan Commissioner had taken place between Tata Steel officials and the Union members on January 29 to resolve the prevailing problems. The Commissioner directed that a meeting be held by both sides at an early date with the ADM chairing the meet. But according to the union patron, no meeting has been organized even after the lapse of 22 days.
The JLTOU delegation members also stated that there had been no fare rise for the past 10 years. Moreover, Tata Steel had reduced goods movement through the vendors.
The ADM called up the Tata Steel authorities and informed them that the JLTOU delegation had approached him thrice for the meeting agreed upon. He directed them to sit for talks with the union without further delay. The company authorities gave an assurance over phone that a meeting would be organized shortly.
The JLTOU delegation comprised Gurupal Singh, Jasbir Singh, Mahmood Khan, R Chandrashekhar, Sanjay Agrawal, Dharmpal Sharma, Manoj Singh, Kirandip Singh, Baljit Singh, Kuldip Singh and JD Sai.
