Jamshedpur: The crash of Air India flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London claiming the lives of 242 passengers, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, has shocked the nation. The aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff in the Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad, leaving the country in mourning. Janata Dal (United) East Singhbhum District President Subodh Srivastava expressed profound sorrow over the incident. He stated, “This horrific plane crash has shaken the entire nation. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for peace for the souls of those who lost their lives.”

Bharat Singh expresses condolence

BJP State Working Committee member Bharat Singh also conveyed his grief, calling the tragedy “heart-wrenching.” He said, “I am deeply saddened and shocked by this immense loss of innocent lives. I urge the Central and State Governments to provide every possible assistance and relief to the affected families. The entire BJP family stands united with them in this difficult hour.”

CAIT: Extremely unfortunate

Meanwhile, The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), through its representative Suresh Sonthalia, issued a condolence message expressing deep sorrow. “It is extremely unfortunate that many innocent passengers lost their lives in this tragic incident. The CAIT family prays for the departed souls and for strength to their families in this time of grief,” the message read.
