Jamshedpur: The District Bar Association advocates provided financial aid to longtime staff member Sushant Namta. Namta, who has served the legal community for fifty years, remains in a coma at RIMS, Ranchi, after a fall.
Advocates Vishnu Kumar Satpathy and B. V. Subramaniam mobilized fellow lawyers to support the family. On Saturday, the delegation handed over ₹50,000 in cash to Namta’s wife, Kalyani Devi, at their Adarsh Nagar residence. The team assured continued support, pledging further financial assistance to ensure uninterrupted medical care for the staffer.
The delegation, which also included Sudhir Kumar Pappu, Rahul Rai, Rahul Kumar, Nishant Kumar, Manoj Kumar, and Kulwinder Singh, met Bhondhu’s wife Kalyani Devi and his children to inquire about his condition and ongoing treatment.
The advocates assured the family of continued support and emphasized that there should be no compromise in his medical care. Speaking on the occasion, Vishnu Satpathy thanked members of the legal fraternity for their contributions, while Sudhir Kumar Pappu stated that more lawyers are coming forward to extend assistance, and additional financial support will be provided in the coming days.
