Jamshedpur, April 9: Akshay Saraswat, a student of Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma, bagged the first prize in the national level competition ‘Jumpstart’ organised virtually by Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad on April 3.
The national level workshop and case study competition saw participation of 400 students from across India. The event kickstarted with an interactive workshop based on entrepreneurial skills and design thinking along with real-life case discussion.
They were evaluated on the basis of brain teaser quiz on the learnings from the workshop out of which Akshay Saraswat was one of the selected 20 participants who qualified.
In the second round top 20 performers were asked to provide a creative solution on the given problem statement utilizing all their learnings from the workshop.
In the final round Akshay emerged winner out of 10 participants and was awarded a Tata CLiQ Gift voucher worth Rs 5000. Teacher Varsha Kedia was the guiding force for the student.
Jumpstart is national level event for school students from class 8th-12th, organized by E-Cell, IMT Ghaziabad in association with Tata Education Excellence Program to inculcate the entrepreneurial and design thinking skills among school students.
