Jamshedpur: KPS Kadma boy pedaling his way to glory

Jamshedpur, Sep 30: Adhiraj Barua, a student of Kerala Public School Kadma, is all set to venture out on his first ever longest bicycle journey. As a focused and high spirited child, Adhiraj grew up to be a passionate travel-geek. To fulfill his father’s dream, he is going to embark on an All-India Tour on his favorite new Hero bicycle. He will be traveling to all 28 states and 8 union territories with the spirit of adventure that testifies – where there is a will, there is a way. He would be covering an approximate distance of 22,000 km. The renowned organizations like YMCA, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur, Lions Club, Bharat Sewashram and many others, came forward to assist him in his great venture in all ways. Kerala Public School Kadma has undertaken to fulfill the much needed financial support while he embarks on this adventure.

Adhiraj passed out from KPS Kadma in the year 2016. In this exciting journey he aims to conquer the highest motorable road on his bicycle , the Umlingala Road in Ladhakh. If he does this, he shall become the first Indian and the first human to reach a height of 19,300 feet, thus setting a world record on a bicycle. This is a true testimony of an indomitable spirit and unflinching commitment to the goal . With this journey  Adhiraj Barua wants to spread the message of   National Integration and Environment Conservation. He condemns forced child marriages that is still prevalent in certain parts of rural India  and takes this opportunity to create awareness amongst rural population . A good singer, Adhiraj wishes to sing the National Anthem on the summit of Umlingala pass as a mark of respect to our great nation.

Adhiraj was felicitated today at KPS Kadma. Students of Std. VI to XII interacted with him and resolved their queries on the adventurous journey. 

Adhiraj started his venture with the flagging off by Academic Director, Mrs. Lakshmi Sharat, Principal, Mrs. Sharmila Mukherjee, Headmistress, Mrs. Alamelu Ravishankar, Coordinators, Teachers & students at KPS Kadma.

Adhiraj Barua not only makes his alma mater Kerala Public Kadma proud but also inspires the entire generation of youth to explore the frontiers of human endurance. The Director, Mr. Sharat Chandran, Acacdemic Director, Principal and the entire fraternity of teachers, staff and students wish him good luck and a safe journey.
