Jamshedpur, March 19:
A deep sense of grief and reverence marked the final rites of Late K. P. G. Nair, the Chairman of Kerala Samajam, whose lasting contributions to education and society have left an indelible legacy.
The last rites were performed at Parvati Ghat in Bistupur, where a large gathering assembled to bid an emotional farewell to a man widely admired for his vision, leadership, and compassion.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of numerous dignitaries, well-wishers, alumni members, and staff, all united in mourning the loss of a towering personality. Among those present were Sharat Chandran of KPS Group, Gian Taneja, representatives from Tata Steel, and prominent trade union leaders, including Raghunath Pandey.

The occasion also saw participation from principals of various schools, along with Nandani Shukla, Director of Kerala Samajam Model School, accompanied by her spouse, trustees, and board members.
Representing the KSMS institution were Principal Rina Banerjee and Vice Principal Al Abraham, alongside a large number of staff members.
The KSMS Alumni Association was strongly represented by its President Manish Kumar Choudhary, Vice President V. Murali Manohar, Treasurer Deepak Puri, and several other members.

Nearly 300 people gathered at the cremation ground, reflecting the immense respect and admiration K. P. G. Nair commanded across all sections of society.
A particularly moving moment was the solemn guard of honour presented by the Scouts and Guides team of KSMS, symbolising the deep gratitude and respect of the institution he so passionately nurtured.
The final rites were performed by his younger daughter in the presence of close family members, including his spouse and both daughters, creating an atmosphere of profound emotion and quiet dignity.
As prayers were offered and tributes paid, the air was heavy with sorrow, yet filled with gratitude for a life that touched countless others.
“He was not just a leader, but a guiding light whose vision transformed lives and built futures. His legacy will live on in every student he inspired,” said Manish Choudhary, the alumni president.
K. P. G. Nair passed away on March 17 during treatment at Tata Main Hospital.
Muslim community pays tribute to K.P.G. Chettan

Jamshedpur, March 19: Members of the Muslim community, including intellectuals and social workers, paid tributes to the late K.P.G. Chettan, Chairman of Kerala Samajam Model School, whose mortal remains were kept at the school premises.
Several prominent individuals, including Mukhtar Alam Khan (Secretary, Human Welfare Trust), Mohammad Moinuddin Ansari (Central Peace Committee member), Arif Aftab (basketball coach), Shahid Parvez, Mohammad Wahid, Mohammad Fahim, and Master Khursheed Ahmed Khan, gathered to offer their final respects.
Mukhtar Alam Khan remarked that the late Chettan’s invaluable contributions to the field of education would always be remembered and continue to inspire future generations.
