Mobile Snatching in Kapali Caught on CCTV; Residents Outraged

Jamshedpur: A brazen daylight robbery at Kapali, near Mango, has raised serious concerns over local security. At approximately 8:00 AM on Sunday, a criminal snatched a mobile phone from a youth named Shamim near Party Palace before speeding away.

The victim was standing by the roadside using his phone when the perpetrator, arriving on a motorcycle from behind, grabbed the device and fled the scene. A nearby CCTV camera captured the entire incident, showing the victim’s desperate but unsuccessful attempt to chase and apprehend the snatcher.

The audacity of the crime has sparked significant anger among local residents. Community members argue that the incident exposes major gaps in police patrolling and suggests that criminals no longer fear the law. Kapali police have officially launched an investigation and are currently analyzing the CCTV footage to identify the suspect and the vehicle used in the crime.
