Jamshedpur, May 22: With just 10 months remaining for the tenure of Jusco Shramik Union to get over, demand for election is being raised. Opposition leader of the union Gopal Jaisawal has demanded that a petition should be filed in the Jharkhand High Court to demand permission for holding the union elections.
Former union general secretary SL Das had complained to the Deputy Labour Commissioner alleging anomalies in the general meeting. The DLC had later found the allegations true. Thereafter, former union president Raghunath Pandey had challenged the DLC’s order in the High court. Das has accused him of being against the elections. Now with only 10 months remaining for the union’s tenure to get over, Pandey wants to delay the elections, Das said.
