Jamshedpur, June 26: Students and teachers of Jusco School South Park (JSSP) attended the Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills Program organized under the aegis of Tata Steel Foundation and SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone) at Kudy Mahanty Auditorium on Sunday, June 26.
The session was conducted by Dr Pushpa Tiwari and Dr Prabal Ghosh from Tata Steel Foundation.
The students were trained on handling three emergency situations – Cardiac Arrest, Serious Road Accidents and Choking.
Team of 17 students from Manipal Medical College led by Dr Sachin Patil helped the students to practice the hands on technique of administering Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the correct way.
175 Students and 15 teachers of Jusco School South Park benefitted from the session.
Mili Sinha, Principal, Jusco School South Park thanked SAFE Chairperson for organising program.
She also expressed gratitude to the entire team of medical practitioners for their valuable inputs and praised their commitment to train the youth of Jamshedpur on this significant skill of saving lives.
