Jamshedpur, March 28 : Sailendra Nath Chatterjee, 80, father of
Debasish Chatterjee, Kolkata-based senior journalist in The Times of India,
passed away on March 27 at around 4.15 pm. Mr Sailendra was suffering from
various ailments for last five years. He breathed his last in his house at
Sonari in Steel City. His last rites were performed at Parvati Ghat in Bistupur
on Thursday. Among the prominent persons who attended the funeral procession
was former state minister Banna Gupta.
Mr Chatterjee is survived by his wife, son,
daughter, daughter in-law, son in-law, grandson and granddaughter.
