Jamshedpur, December 15. A nine-month old girl was stolen from near Tatanagar station. The incident happened late Thursday night.
On getting information about the theft of the girl, it was informed to the Bagbera police on Friday.
The police is examining the CCTV footage installed near the station. According to the information, the girl’s mother has no whereabouts. She earns her living by begging near the station and sleeps near the station itself. She slept with her nine-month-old daughter on Thursday night.
When she woke up, she found the girl missing. No written complaint has been made in the police station regarding the matter.
The trend of child theft from Tatanagar station is quite old. On September 3, 2022, a 7-month-old baby of a destitute woman was stolen near the second entry gate of Tatanagar station. The Railway Police also got CCTV footage in the case but were not able to solve the case.
