Jamshedpur industrialist Ashok Bhalotia laid to rest, SCCI pays tribute to former president

Jamshedpur: Former president of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and industrialist, Ashok Bhalotia, was laid to rest at Parvati Ghat on Friday amidst an outpouring of grief from the business and entrepreneurial community. Hundreds of people, including family, friends, and colleagues, gathered to bid a tearful farewell to the respected leader and entrepreneur.

Bhalotia’s mortal remains were brought to the SCCI building, where members, officials, and well-wishers paid floral tributes. Leading the tribute, SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka expressed deep sorrow over the loss, saying, “Ashok Bhalotia was not just a leader but a guiding light for all of us. His contributions to the business community will remain unparalleled. We have lost a mentor and a guardian.”

Former SCCI presidents Muralidhar Kedia, Vijay Mehta, and Nirmal Kabra, paid homage to the late leader.

Office bearers, including Vice President Anil Modi, Advocate Rajiv Agarwal, Puneet Kauntia, Abhishek Agarwal (Goldy), Secretary Anshul Ringsia, Binod Sharma, Treasurer CA Anil Ringsia, and other members, bid him an emotional farewell.

President Vijay Anand Moonka lauded the contributions of Ashok Bhalotia, who served as SCCI President for two consecutive terms from 2017 to 2021. During his tenure, Bhalotia played a pivotal role in advancing the Chamber’s activities and implemented several initiatives for the benefit of the business and entrepreneurial community. Moonka remarked, “We have lost a guardian, a guide who tirelessly worked for the upliftment of our community. The Chamber family mourns this profound loss and stands in solidarity with his family during this difficult time.”

Former President Muralidhar Kedia described Bhalotia as a simple-hearted and selfless individual who always prioritized the welfare of businesspersons and entrepreneurs. He added that Bhalotia’s demise marks an irreparable loss for the SCCI family.

The event witnessed the presence of numerous entrepreneurs and business leaders, including Sandeep Murarka, Abhishek Kabra, Ajay Kumar Bhalotia, Deepak Chettani, Harsh Agarwal, Indrajit Singh Bindra, Kaushik Modi, Manish Goel, Mohit Moonka, Pawan Kumar Naredi, Rohit Agarwal, Rohit Kabra, Saurav Sanghi Sunny, Umesh Khirwal, Vishnu Goel, CA Raju Babu, Kamal Kishore Agarwal, and Arun Agarwal, among others. They collectively expressed their grief and acknowledged the significant contributions of the late leader to the Chamber and society.

The business and entrepreneurial community of Jamshedpur will remember Ashok Bhalotia not only for his professional achievements but also for his noble efforts as a social worker.
