Jamshedpur, Oct 8: East Singhbhum district administration has tightened its shoelace to ensure peaceful celebration of Id-Miladunnabi in the city tomorrow. Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar jointly briefed the police officials, magistrates and other administration officials at a meeting convened at Ravindra Bhavan auditorium, Sakchi, on Saturday.

Addressing the meeting, the DC and SSP said the entire city was divided into seven zones and each zone would be under the charge of magistrates and senior police officers. The entire city would be under surveillance of close circuit television cameras (CCTVs) and drones, they said.

The DC said a procession would be taken out from Gandhi Maidan, Mango, and would reach Aam Bagan and conclude at Dhatkidih. She directed all magistrates and police officers to leave their duty venues only after taking permission of seniors at the conclusion of the procession. Around 80,000 people are expected to participate in the procession. Barricades and drop gates would be put up at various strategic places, she said, adding that heavy vehicles and DJs would not be allowed during the procession. The entire procession would be monitored from the Composite Control Room (CCR), she said.
The SSP said adequate number of magistrates and police personnel were deployed for the festival. He said provocative music and arms would be banned during the procession.
